I am honored to be considered for the Terrafirma Members Committee, representing the Northern New England region. I’ve worked at land trusts for over a decade and have long considered Terrafirma to be among the most powerful tools to ensure the durability and integrity of the private land conservation movement. It is among the best ideas to emerge from the Land Trust Alliance.
If elected, I would take seriously the responsibility serving on the Committee in support of the principles and values that guide Terrafirma's operations. I am prepared to engage with the governance processes outlined by Terrafirma and work closely with ARMS to provide land trusts with the essential resources and guidance they need. The Members Committee's role is paramount in ensuring that Terrafirma fulfills its mission of providing affordable and reliable liability protection for land trusts. It is essential. With a focus on collaborative governance, I am ready to contribute my skills, dedication, and advocacy to this essential cause, working diligently alongside fellow committee members and ARMS to protect natural beauty, biodiversity, and working lands for future generations.
