It would be an honor to be of service to the Terrafirma organization as a representative of the western region.  Our land trust community depends on the benefit of shared responsibilities and risks that Terrafirma provides; I believe that this is true in particular for smaller land trusts who have fewer resources at their fingertips.  I hope to represent the interests of both large and small, experienced and new land trusts throughout the region.

We are all ambassadors of the lands that we conserve.  Keeping Terrafirma sound will take a group that provides oversight on current policies and forward thinking to keep up with changing climate, legal and financial challenges.  I have both the business experience as well as the strategic planning and oversight background to assure that Terrafirma not only survives but advances during changing and challenging times.

Something that I’ve learned along the way – you cannot simultaneously be on any of our amazing conserved lands, appreciating the deep beauty, and hate at the same time.  I am an advocate for social change, equity, diversity and inclusion.  Though not specifically Terrafirma’s main focus, I will hold Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion close while considering issues and goals presented for discussion.

I am a resourceful problem solver – I may not always know the answer off the top of my head, but I certainly have resources at hand that can both educate and facilitate forward motion.   Collaboration is key among our organizations.  I will look forward to working with the many and varied land trusts in our region to provide solid leadership.
